Sudan Welcomes Japanese Investments

Sudanese government announced its welcome to investments from the Japanese private sector, particularly during the reconstruction period, which is expected to witness a great turnout from global investors.
During his meeting with the President of the Japan External Trade Organization, Norihiko Ashiguro, in Tokyo (Thursday) on the sidelines of his participation in the activities of the 5th session of the Arab-Japanese Economic Forum, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Jibril Ibrahim called for the necessity of conducting the necessary studies and research to pave the way for starting work on reconstruction and construction projects in Sudan, affirming the importance of cooperation between the two countries to achieve these goals.
Jibril reviewed the rich natural resources that Sudan has.
For his part, Norihiko Ashiguro confirmed that the organization will work to facilitate communication between Japanese companies and the relevant Sudanese authorities to enhance investments and develop future projects, stressing the organization’s readiness to hold a preliminary seminar on the role of the Japanese private sector in the reconstruction of Sudan, hoping that peace and stability will prevail in Sudan soon.
This meeting comes in the context of the ongoing efforts to strengthen economic relations between Sudan and Japan, and reflects the commitment of the two countries to enhance cooperation and partnership to achieve sustainable development and rebuild Sudan after the end of the war.
