Burning (Sah Ya Canar) poet’s library

The daughter of the poet Al-Sagh Mahmoud Abu Bakr, the poet of the poetry (Sah Ya Canar), announced the burning of their house in the city of Omdurman in the Wad Nubawi neighborhood. She said through a picture showing the destruction, “This salon contains the library of my late husband, Idris Al-Taher, with everything in it.” Ilham Mahmoud Abu Bakr said that the library contains twenty copy of her father Mahmoud Abu Bakr’s poetry collection (The Cups of Babylon of Bulbul’s Tongues), in addition to Encyclopaedia Britannica by Idris Al-Taher and thousands of books, pamphlets and studies.
