Sesame Cultivation launched in Al-Alyab Agricultural Project

The Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in River Nile State, in cooperation with the Capacity Development Project to Promote Market-Oriented Agriculture and Improve Irrigated Project Management, launched sesame cultivation in Al-Alyab Agricultural Project.
The Minister of Production said during the field day that the country is counting on the summer season to cultivate all targeted areas, and he was proud of the Al-Alyab Project, and praised the project management for its keenness to cultivate the summer crop, which focuses on corn, oilseeds, vegetables and fodder.
The Minister pointed to the state’s achievements and the completion of Atbara Airport, which is relied upon to transport agricultural and animal exports, which is a gain for all producers.
For his part, the Director of the Capacity Development Project to Promote Market-Oriented Agriculture, Youssuf Dafallah, said that oil crops achieved high productivity, according to which Japan donated an oil press and drying machines for vegetables and fruits, adding that the project aims to increase farmers’ income and achieve added value.
