Egyptian Interior Ministry Arrests Accused in Incident Used to Incite Against Sudanese

The Egyptian Interior Ministry announced the arrest of an accused of broadcasting offensive phrases against President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi Sisi on Faisal Street in Jeeza Governorate.
The statement of the Egyptian Interior Ministry stated that within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Interior’s agencies to uncover the circumstances of the offensive phrases directed at President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and circulated on one of the advertising screens in Faisal area of Jeeza , which is densely populated by Sudanese.
The incident had been used in incitement campaigns against the Sudanese and it was promoted that Sudanese were behind the incident that offended the symbol of sovereignty in Egypt, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, with demands to deport the Sudanese from Egypt.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian authorities were quick to deny circulating news about the arrest of Sudanese on the background of allegations of carrying out offensive acts against President El-Sisi.
The Egyptian Interior Ministry explained on Tuesday that it was able to identify and arrest the perpetrator of the incident (an electronic screen technician), and he confessed to committing the incident at the instigation of the electronic committees run by elements of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group who have fled abroad.
The statement affirmed that legal measures have been taken.
