The family of the martyr musician Magdy Karary, who was martyred in the Corps of Engineers, named his newborn (Jamal) in gratitude for the efforts of the artist Jamal Farfour.
The musician Al-Shafi Sheikh Idris wrote on his Facebook page, referring to the efforts that the artist Jamal Farfour continued to make towards the family of the martyr musician, “May God reward his mother and his family with a beautiful and great blessing. The family of our colleague, the martyr drummer Magdi Karari, who was martyred while performing the duty of the nation in the Corps of Engineers in Omdurman, was released. His mother gave the newborn the name (Jamal) in appreciation and gratitude to the friend of the late artist Jamal Farfour, of whom the martyr Magdy was a member of his band.” Al-Shafi said. “I was following the condition of the martyr’s wife, and I bear witness that Jamal Farfour did everything necessary and did not fail to follow up until the birth. He took care of all obligations towards the martyr’s wife, and I do not want to break his back, but as a reminder to the rest of our brothers and fellow artists not to forget the families and children of those colleagues who left us. This is in addition to the efforts of Hassan Farfour, brother of the artist Jamal, for his appreciated efforts. He used to travel long distances during his illness to reach the martyr’s wife and provide her with what is necessary.” Al-Shafi’i added.
