An Egyptian film with a Sudanese lead… A first look at the movie “Dhay”

On Wednesday, filming for the movie (Dhi), in which Sudanese artist Islam Mubarak co-stars, ended. Islam had announced in a Facebook post the end of filming, and received congratulations and congratulations from her colleagues.
The first snapshots of the biography of the people of Dhay revealed the first images of the cinematic film (Dhay), written by Haitham Dabour and directed by Karim El-Shenawy, which tells the story of an albino teenager, the “enemy of the sun,” an Egyptian Nubian, as he embarks on a journey not devoid of magic and beauty with his family through the governorates of Egypt, which took Preparing and filming the film took about 4 years, and it was filmed under the vision of Director of Photography Abdel Salam Moussa in about 50 different locations in various governorates of Egypt, which made the journey of filming the work arduous and exhausting.
Dr. Mahmoud Maysara Al-Sarraj, who participated in the film on the occasion of the end of filming wrote:
“Yesterday, filming for the film (Biography of the People of Day) by writer Haitham Dabour and director Karim El-Shenawy ended, in which I participated as a guest of honour. I was happy with this participation, as the spirit of Mohamed Mounir constantly hovers over the film. Mohamed Mounir, especially accompanied by Yahya Khalil, was for our generation a school in musical arrangement and musical style and even poetry, who among us has not memorized the album “Windows” by heart?” He said. “The movie also has Islam Mubarak, my favorite actress, and the movie has Aswan in spirit and rhythm, and what do you know about Aswan’s soul and Aswan’s rhythm.” He added.
The film stars a teenager who was chosen from tests that included more than 100 new faces, Badr Mohamed, alongside the Saudi artist Aseel Omran, the Sudanese artist Islam Mubarak, and the Egyptian artist Haneen Saeed, in addition to a special appearance by a large number of stars in distinctive roles that the makers seek to reveal that time. The team working behind the camera includes artistic producer Khaled Adam, production supervisor Mahmoud Metwally, costume designer Monia Fath al-Bab, technical supervision by Ali Hossam Ali, artistic cooperation and decoration by Lamis Suleiman, sound engineer Youssef Al-Mihi, and sound tape designer Ahmed Sabbour.
Director Karim El-Shenawy is working on the editing work with editor Baher Rashid, and the mixing of the film, which includes a number of songs and surprises.
