Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The government of the River Nile state in northern Sudan announced on Friday the killing of two members of the security services and the injury of others as a result of clashes between a joint force of the army SAF police and intelligence and an armed formation in the “Al-Farikha” area north of the city of Berber.
The River Nile state Security Committee said in a statement that “the regular forces counted two martyrs and one injured, and the forces are still imposing a security cordon on the Al-Farikha area and are conducting combing operations to arrest the accused and bring him to justice.”
He noted that the security situation in the region has completely stabilized after the joint security operation ended with complete success and achieved all its goals in eliminating an armed formation led by one of those wanted by justice.
He pointed out that the joint forces clashed with the armed group and inflicted heavy losses on them and were able to seize weapons and ammunition that were in their possession.
