Arrival of a Turkish aid ship to Port Sudan

A Turkish aid ship to Sudan arrived at Port Sudan port carrying (2,408) tons of aid, and the Red Crescent Society received the Turkish aid.
The Secretary-General of the Society, Aida Al-Sayed Abdullah, affirmed that the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Gedaref state Branch, in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) will continue to support and assist the IDPs from Sennar and Sinja by distributing non-food items consisting of cooking utensils, tarpaulins, floor mats, jerry cans, blankets and mosquito nets in the Shajarat camp with the participation of 15 volunteers.
She revealed that the Society’s branch in Sennar State, in cooperation with UNHCR, is distributing soap to the displaced in Sennar locality, and said, “The distribution will continue for five days, targeting 45 shelters with the participation of 30 male and female volunteers.” She revealed that the association’s branch in the Red Sea state distributed cash in Haya locality to 600 families affected by the war.
