Sudan Events – Magda
The poet Abdel-Wahab Halawi bid farewell to the city of Kassala, hoping to return to Sudan in conditions of peace and justice, as he described it.
Halawi shared a group of photos behind the Taka Mountains, gathering him with the artist Adel Muslim, the poet Abdul Qader Abu Shura, and some friends from the city of Kassala. “Perhaps these are the last days in Kassala after years and years of absence. I used to visit it only timidly. Thank you, my mother, Kassala, for everything. Thanks to all the family and friends, the river and the mountain the birds and the trees. Thanks to those we attended but did not find, and I have represented them. All their old feelings, we will definitely return again, God willing, and Sudan will have good health, peace and justice.” Halawi wrote on Facebook.
