Graduation of Specialized Forces in Urban Warfare in Khartoum

Khartoum state announced the graduation of a new batch of forces specialized in urban warfare, in support of the progress of operations to liberate residential neighborhoods from the remnants of the rebel militia.
Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza affirmed, when addressing the graduating force, that the war is in its final stages, and that they will soon head in all directions. He said, “The militia’s hiding in homes and public facilities has prolonged the war, due to the army’s keenness to preserve the property and lives of citizens.”
The governor explained that the police were able to restore service to a number of its departments in the old neighborhoods of Omdurman, and pointed out that the next stage is greater than an epic to defeat the enemy, and it is to confront security threats, affirming that they have begun this by issuing emergency orders and forming a security cell that was able to arrest many members of the militia and their collaborators in a short time, addition to arresting the looted items. He added, “We also imposed a curfew and a ban on motor vehicles, and we emphasize the ban on carrying weapons in the markets.
The campaign to evacuate foreigners will begin after (5) days, and we will take official measures against those who do not leave voluntarily.”
He noted that foreigners were arrested in the areas of operations and found among the dead. He also touched on the restructuring of the Supreme Committee for Mobilization and Organization of the Popular Resistance according to the regulations issued by the President of the Sovereignty Council. The number of trainers reached 50,000 from the Popular Resistance, including 8,000 in the front lines and will support the battle of dignity and support.
