Senior sources told Asharq that the Director of the US Agency for International Development, Samantha Power, and the US Special Envoy to Sudan, Tom Perriello, will visit Sudan in early August.
The move comes after the US administration launched an initiative to end the war in Sudan and invited the Sudanese SAF and the Rapid Support RSF Militia to talks on August 14 in Switzerland.
