A little girl’s idea… (Broken Glass) a new theatrical text

Writer and theater critic Haitham Al-Tayeb, owner of the “Theater as a True Treatment for Children in Wartime” project, finished a theatrical script entitled (Broken Glass), noting that it was an idea that came from a child who was inspired by the idea of cleanliness after the war. “When we reached the stage of theatrical spectacle performances, we said… We must overcome the stage of crying and pain over what is happening in the war and look into the future with an eye to what is originally required of our project.” He said.
Haitham pointed out that ideas began to come out of the children and this tested the effectiveness and success of the project among them.
“I made a weekly show whose idea came from a child or a girl, and I wrote the script with the ease of the theatrical text and the theatrical language. The first idea was from a child. She said, ‘If we have a broken glove and a little bit of water here, what do we want? We must remove it all and the place should be clean,'” He added. “She speaks as if she wants to say how we should deal with this war.” He added.
“I wrote a text with simple details, quick dialogues, which is a philosophy in children’s work, that the sentence be very short and fruitful. The text is entitled (Broken Glass), and it contains theatrical and quick discussions. Perhaps the story of the broken glass carries a message to the country and the people that the coming cleanliness must be very profound and the value of the country must be very high.” He said.
