The poet Al-Tijani Haj Musa recorded a visit to the Nile Valley Radio in Egypt, and he was accompanied during the visit by the journalist Noah Al-Sarraj.
They were received by the Director of Nile Valley Radio, Dr. Hosni Sadiq, and during the visit a series of documentary episodes were recorded in which Al-Tijani spoke about the past of the cultural and artistic relations that linked the creators of the two brotherly countries. He spoke in detail about the visit of Umm Kulthum to Sudan, and he told about the poet. Al-Hadi Adam, whose words “Kawkab Al-Sharq” sang (I will meet you tomorrow), also touched on his close relationships with poets from Egypt, including the poet Abd al-Rahman al-Abnoudi. Al-Tijani revealed for the first time the family relationships that bind him to some families in Egypt, specifically in Luxor Governorate, where he mentioned that his aunts are married to Egyptian brothers and have sons and daughters who now reside in Luxor, and Al-Tayhani promised to visit them soon.
The dialogue touched on a number of cultural and artistic topics that link the peoples of the Nile Valley and the contributions of Rukn Sudan Radio, formerly the Nile Valley Radio, in spreading Sudanese culture and introducing it. He said that a large number of Sudanese artists have rare recordings on Nile Valley Radio that are not found in the Sudanese radio library.
In addition, the documentary episodes included Al-Tijani’s relationship with a number of Sudanese artists who sang with his words, especially the brown nightingale Zidane Ibrahim, who had the lion’s share of Al-Tijani’s and Fajr Al-Tijani’s songs. Information that may be mentioned for the first time was a surprise that all of his songs sung by the artist Kamal Terbas were composed by him.
Al-Tijani said that the great artist Salah bin Al-Badia sings the song (Reassure Me) from his lyrics and melodies. Al-Tijani mentioned a number of occasions on which he wrote some of his poems. Al-Tijani did not hide his great admiration for the song (My Mother, May God Bless You), which he wrote in recognition of the role of the mother in the lives of children and the family.
Al-Tijani also showed great interest in the lyrics of the famous song that Tarbas sings (Jay Searches the Past), and he talked about its occasion with exciting details in which the emotion was evident on Al-Tijani’s face when he read its words. In addition, the episodes included a group of miscellaneous topics and the beginning of his cooperation with Zidane while he was still a student in high school, with the song (Qasr Al-Shouq), his first collaboration with the artist Zidane Ibrahim.
Director of Nile Valley Radio, Dr. Hosni Sadiq, expressed his admiration for the level of the episodes and the important topics they contained, and suggested recording a group of other episodes at a later time.
