Musician and actor Dr. Mahmoud Misara described the division of musical scales with terms that have ended their era.

“The story of the heptagonal, pentagonal and hexagonal scales are terms that belong to the Stone Age and are supposed to have ended.” He said in a tweet.

“When you tell someone that this song has a heptagonal scale (for example), you are actually misleading them and they should feel ashamed.” He added.

“The diversity of musical scales does not depend on the number of sounds used, but on the distances (musical dimensions) between these sounds.” He added.

“The musical sounds are not seven and not even 12 as long as the people of the East divide one dimension into four sounds.. Then, the dimension of the great seventh is an artificial dimension invented by the white man in order to dominate and crush the rest of the peoples. I wrote many articles in Al-Tayyar newspaper that discussed this topic and their main title was (Si Natrell, the voice of the white man).” He said.
