Assassination attempt
In a new development, the President of the Sovereignty Council TSC Commander of the SAF ,Lt.Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, survived an assassination attempt after a drone attack targeted a base in eastern Sudan while he was participating in a graduation ceremony for batches from the Military College in Gebeit, Red Sea State.
A statement issued by the office of the official spokesperson for the Sudanese Armed Forces SAF , Brig. Gen.Nabil Abdullah, said that the army’s anti-aircraft weapons intercepted two hostile drones on Wednesday that targeted the site of the celebration for the graduation of batches from the Military, Air and Naval Colleges after its conclusion in Gebeit.
The SAF statement revealed that the incident resulted in the martyrdom of five martyrs and minor injuries that are being counted.
Multiple Attacks :

The drone attack that targeted the assassination of Al-Burhan came on the morning of attacks launched by drones on several security headquarters in Kosti, White Nile State.
The attack resulted in the death of an officer in the General Intelligence Service and the injury of others, in addition to causing damage to one of the faculties of Imam Al-Mahdi University in Kosti, which was targeted by one of the drones.
Rabak, the state capital, also witnessed a drone attack last Monday targeting an army camp, in addition to two drones that attacked Kenana Air Base in the state.
Militia Suffering :

Security and strategic expert Maj.Gen.Amin Ismail said that the Rapid Support RSFMilitia’s use of drones and targeting safe states is evidence of their suffering from a problem with forces and the progress of the Sudanese Armed Forces SAF in offensive operations.
Ismail pointed out to (Sudan Events ) that the militia is working through this to thwart the attacks of the armed forces SAF on it and occupy it with drone attacks, and called on the SAF to activate air defense, ground anti-aircraft, and control and monitoring rooms so that it can shoot down the drones before they reach their targets, and pointed out that the drones transmit the impact of the war to the safe states and do not transmit the war completely, considering that war requires the availability of infantry forces on the ground.
Limited Fire :

On Monday, the Sudanese army’s anti-aircraft guns shot down drones that targeted government headquarters in the capital of River Nile State, Ad-Damar.
The River Nile State Security Committee said that the advanced defenses were able to shoot down two suicide drones that attacked the city of Ad-Damar, the state capital, and the local government building.
The River Nile State Security Committee explained in a statement that the first fell on top of the building and the second on the wall without any injuries or human losses. The attack resulted in limited fires that the Civil Defense Police dealt with quickly and were able to extinguish.

Innate Instinct :

The head of the political sector of Umma Party, Fathi Hassan, says that the Rapid Support RSF Militia, after failing to seize power by force, turned to Plan (B), which is targeting Sudanese citizens with killing, looting, humiliation, and raping free women.
Hassan told Sudan Events hat killing is an innate instinct among the Rapid Support RSF Militia members, and pointed out that attempts to introduce political liquidations and assassinations as a method alien to political and social life in Sudan are rejected, condemned and reprehensible.
Deliberate Attack :

For months, the Rapid Support RSF Militia has been attacking cities controlled by the SAF with drones, launching the first attack on a Ramadan Iftar for the Al-Baraa Bin Malik Battalion, which fights alongside the SAF in Atbara, River Nile State, last April. The attack resulted in deaths and injuries.
On June 9, the Sudanese army’s air defenses in Shendi shot down five Rapid Support RSF Militia drones that targeted the army headquarters in the city.
On the 24th of the same month, a drone targeted a reception organized by a local leader for a delegation from the Rizeigat tribe in the city of Shendi, River Nile State, without causing any casualties.
Ineffectiveness :

Military expert Al-Fateh Mahjoub says that the Rapid Support RSF Militia has escalated its attacks with marches in the last week, attacking several cities in the White Nile, the River Nile and the Red Sea. Although its attacks are militarily ineffective, it wants to send several messages through them. The first is that there is no safe place in Sudan, and thus it continues its mission of emptying cities of their residents and stopping the return of citizens to liberated cities such as Omdurman.
The second is a message to the international political movement, as it wants to say that it is present in Sudan and it is difficult to ignore it in any upcoming political settlement in Sudan.
Mahjoub added in an interview with (Sudan Events ): But militarily, the militia will not be able, with these scattered, ineffective attacks, to prevent the Sudanese army from continuing its mission of crushing it and ending its occupation of cities and citizens’ homes.

Simultaneous Developments :

The developments in the country coincide with the invitation extended by the US State Department to the army and the Rapid Support RSF Militia for new negotiations on August 14 in Switzerland, with Saudi Arabia as a co-host, under the supervision of the United Nations UN the African Union AU the Emirates and Egypt.
The Sudanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the government responded to the US invitation and affirmed the need for prior consultation with the Sudanese government on the form and agenda of any negotiations and the parties participating in or attending them.
The government called for a meeting between the Sudanese and American governments to prepare well for the peace negotiations, in order to achieve the benefits that the Sudanese people expect from them.
It added: “Any negotiations before implementing the Jeddah Declaration, which stipulates the comprehensive withdrawal of the militia and the cessation of expansion, will not be acceptable to the Sudanese people who are subjected to displacement, killing, rape, ethnic cleansing and looting of their property.”

A new Chapter :

The head of the Future Builders Party and the head of the National Declaration Alliance, Dr. Fath al-Rahman Mohamed al-Fadhil, considered in an interview with (Sudan Events ) that targeting cities and leaders with marches is a new and final chapter of the militia’s chapters to pressure the army leadership and push it to go to negotiations. Everyone can notice the interest of the electronic supporters of Qahat and the militia supporters, who are one side of the same coin, how they have now and for some time been panting after negotiations after the task of forming a civilian authority parallel to the militia has faltered for fear of the historical cost and their further downfall in front of the eyes of the Sudanese people who cannot accept the authority of the militia even if it controls the entire country, so they are pressing to reach a settlement that returns them to what was before the war.
