Al-Atta: Al-Burhan Requested to step Down and I informed him to implement it after the Defeat of Janjaweed

Member of the Sovereignty Council TSC Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the SAF ,Lt. Gen. Yassir Al-Atta, accused the United Arab Emirates UAE of supporting the Rapid Support Forces RSF militia and managing the war in Sudan through an operations room from its capital, Abu Dhabi.

He affirmed during his hosting on Sudan TV, Saturday, that the armed forces SAF were able to destroy the hard power of the Rapid Support Forces RSF and that “what remained of it is a group of gangs and looters,” according to him.

Al-Atta said that he asked the SAF commander, Al-Burhan, to step down from power after the defeat of Janjaweed because it is a responsibility” and that there should be a short transitional period for reconstruction.

He added, “Al-Burhan told me (4) days ago that he had (reached the limit), and I had to agree with Kabashi to hand over power to Kabashi.

I rejected the proposal and told Al-Burhan (to step down after the defeat of Janjaweed).”

The assistant commander of the SAF revealed that they were able to find out the location of the launch of the drone that tried to assassinate Al-Burhan.

Regarding the SAF ‘s war plans to end the war, Al-Atta said that they were delayed for reasons that cannot be disclosed now, noting that the facts will be given to the Sudanese people later.

He added, “Everyone’s decision is to continue this war until Janjaweed are eliminated or surrender according to the situations of the Sudanese nation.”

Regarding the transitional government, Al-Atta said that the Forces of Freedom and Change did not have the experience and cadres to manage Sudan during the days of Hamdok’s government, and that they are managing “No to War with the same naivety,” stressing that Sudan will only be ruled through elections.

Al-Atta affirmed that he has no differences with the SAF commander, Burhan, or his deputy, Kabashi, and said, “Neither I, nor Burhan, nor Kabashi, nor Ibrahim Jaber want to rule.”
