Distribution of Improved Seeds to Al-Fashaqa Farmers

As part of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s emergency campaign to distribute seeds to support the 2024 agricultural season, the Rira Organization, Gedaref Office, launched a campaign to distribute improved seeds to small farmers in Al-Fashaqa locality.
Ashwag Mohamed Ahmed, Director of the Rira Organization, Gedaref Office, stated that the campaign targets around 10,000 people in Al-Fashaqa locality, with the presence of the Executive Director and the Director of the Agricultural Department in the locality.
The campaign was accompanied by awareness and guidance sessions from the national sorghum research expert, Professor Ali Al-Tom, who conducted an enlightening lecture for farmers on the best methods of plowing, protection, and the authorized percentages of additives in agriculture.
