Gadarif Intends to Establish Camps for Sudanese Returning from Ethiopian Forests

The government of the Gadarif state, in collaboration with relevant parties, intends to establish three camps in the border town of Gallabat to receive Sudanese returning from the Ethiopian Oulala forests, with a commitment to provide shelter and food through organizations.

The Governor of Gadarif, Major General (Retired) Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, met on Sunday with the delegation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the Commissioner for Refugees in the eastern states, in the presence of the Director of Intelligence and the Governor’s Adviser for Refugee Affairs and Organizations, and several members of the state government.

The governor emphasized the need for quick and necessary interventions by organizations to receive Sudanese returning from Ethiopia. He also directed the need to find camps for southern Sudanese spread across the various localities of the state.
