Interior Ministry: 198 People Killed and Injured Due to Floods and Rains

Interior Minister Lieutenant General (Retired) Khalil Pasha Sairin announced that 68 people had died as a result of floods and rains, while 130 people were injured.

The minister revealed that more than 4,000 homes were completely destroyed, and 8,000 partially, in addition to damage to 40 public and private facilities.

The minister disclosed in a press statement after an emergency meeting chaired by Osman Hussein, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Acting Prime Minister, attended by relevant authorities, that a high-level delegation from the concerned bodies has been formed to visit the states affected by the floods and rains and provide the necessary assistance.
