Decision to Transfer Border Control to the Sovereignty Council

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, has directed the transfer of supervision over border crossings to the Sovereignty Council.

In a press release on Tuesday, the Sovereignty Council stated that the decision was made to facilitate procedures at border crossings and to ensure the smooth flow of commercial movement and the quick clearance of goods.
