Sisi and Blinken Stress Allowing Unhindered Aid Access to Sudanese

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday in the city of El Alamein.
The Egyptian president and Secretary Blinken discussed ongoing efforts to end the war in Sudan. Blinken welcomed Egypt’s active participation in the talks in Switzerland.
Sisi and Blinken stressed the importance of allowing humanitarian aid to reach Sudanese civilians without obstacles.
The meeting was attended by U.S. Special Envoy to Sudan Tom Perriello, Egyptian Intelligence Chief General Abbas Kamel, and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Al-Din Abdul Ati.
In the same context, Blinken met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Al-Din Abdul Ati, where the two ministers agreed to continue close coordination on ending the conflict in Sudan, emphasizing the necessity of Sudanese Armed Forces joining the negotiations in Switzerland.
