Widespread Outbreak of Eye Infections in East Nile Neighborhoods in Khartoum

The East Nile Emergency Room revealed on Tuesday a wide outbreak of acute conjunctivitis in the neighborhoods of the area, with the infection rate reaching 60% in one neighborhood.
The East Nile Emergency Room stated in a statement received by “Sudan Tribune” that “cases of acute conjunctivitis in squares 4, 5, 6, and 7, and in Al-Kales neighborhood in Al-Maygoma, included 60% of the residents.”
They revealed that Al-Ban Jadid Hospital received 148 cases of acute conjunctivitis, Um Doman Hospital received 70 cases, Abu Dleik Hospital received 8 cases, Hattab Health Center received 30 cases, and Balsam Al-Khair Charitable Health Center received 15 cases.
They reported 9 cases in the Shaghla area.
