Army Denies Receiving Fighter Jets from Egypt
Sudan Events – Reports
The Sudanese army denied reports circulated by news sites and social media about the Sudanese Armed Forces receiving K8 fighter jets from the Arab Republic of Egypt.
In a statement on Wednesday, the army said it possesses squadrons of this type of Chinese-made aircraft since the early 2000s, acquired from the country of origin (the People’s Republic of China), long before the current war by two decades. It added, “There is no need to seek more of these aircraft from any friendly country as they are primarily intended for pilot training.”
The army warned against spreading such misleading and unverified information.
