Qatar and Egypt Provide Support for Flood Victims in Northern Sudan

The Acting Governor of Northern State, Abidin Awad, praised the unlimited support from the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt to Sudan, especially to those affected in the state.

During his address at the launch of a convoy from Al-Dabba locality and the Zakat Chamber in the state to the residents of Tangaasi who were affected by the floods, he noted that the State of Qatar, represented by Qatar Charity and the Qatar Red Crescent, had provided substantial aid to Sudan. The state received 200 tents and 400 blankets for the residents of Tangaasi as part of the support for the flood victims.

The Governor also praised the role of Egypt, sending a message of gratitude to its ambassador in Wadi Halfa, Ahmed Fawzi El-Sherif, for responding by providing a large number of tents, tarpaulins, and shelter materials.
