The Foreign Minister announces an upcoming visit by al-Burhan to New York

Foreign Minister Ambassador Hussain Awad Ali announced that the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, will travel to the United States next month. Hussain stated in a press release to “Al-Shaab” that the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council will participate in the high-level meetings of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. It is noteworthy that the 79th session of the UN General Assembly will open on September 10, under the theme “Unity in Diversity.” The high-level general debate of the body will begin on the 24th of the same month. Al-Burhan is scheduled to deliver Sudan’s statement before the UN General Assembly, addressing Sudan’s vision and positions regarding the overall developments in regional and international situations, and continuing to expose the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and its supporters.
