The Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan, Hani Salah, stated that the war in Sudan affects all countries on the continent, emphasizing that Egypt’s security is linked to Sudan’s security and vice versa.
Speaking at a farewell ceremony hosted by the “Bakkab” group for the Egyptian Consul General, Sameh Farouk, on the occasion of the end of his tenure, Salah said that Egypt is working on all fronts and directions to resolve the Sudanese crisis in cooperation with friendly and brotherly nations.
He pointed out that Sudan is a significant country that influences many parts of Africa, adding, “When Sudan speaks, other countries listen.”
Salah also highlighted Sudan’s cooperation with Egypt during the 1967 war, saying, “Without Sudan, there wouldn’t have been Egypt,” noting that what Egypt has offered to Sudanese people is a duty and responsibility. He further added, “If Egypt needed Sudan, Sudan would welcome all Egyptians as it has done before.”
