Warnings of Heavy Rainfall Accompanied by Flash Floods in Seven States

The Early Warning Unit of the Meteorological Authority predicted on Saturday very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds in seven Sudanese states.

It stated that these rains could lead to flash floods and flash floods in the states of central Red Sea State, eastern Blue Nile State, West Kordofan State, northern South Darfur State, and the eastern and central parts of Darfur State, as well as the northern and southern parts of North Darfur State.

The relevant authorities and local governments were urged to take the highest levels of caution and preparedness, and citizens in these areas were advised to exercise caution, avoid waterways and ravines, and stay away from houses at risk of collapse. The authorities also advised drivers on highways to drive carefully.
