Sudan Events – Reports
Acting Minister of Education Ahmed Khalifa Omar announced the final date for registering secondary exam candidates for the postponed 2023 class. He also confirmed that preparations were complete for transferring the Sudanese Exam Administration to the River Nile state.
Khalifa said that September 15 is the final date for registering and recording candidates for the postponed 2023 secondary exams.
In a press statement, he explained that completing the registration process marks the beginning of practical preparations for conducting the secondary exam stages. The Ministry will determine the exam centers after the displacement caused by the rebellion, ensuring the exams can be held inside and outside Sudan.
He revealed that they had asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform them of any additional exam centers in countries where students have fled, so the ministry can verify their compliance with external exam center standards. The embassies abroad will oversee these centers.
Regarding the exam schedule, Khalifa said the ministry is in the process of submitting a proposal to the Sudanese Examination Board for discussion and approval, after which the exam dates will be announced.
Khalifa assured students and families that exam dates would be announced well in advance to allow sufficient preparation time.
