Two Rockets Fall Near U.S. Forces in Baghdad
Sudan Events – Agencies
Security sources reported that two rockets fell near U.S. forces stationed at Victory Camp near Baghdad Airport, amid reports of material damage without any casualties. The U.S. embassy has not yet responded to a request for comment. Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades, allied with Iran, claimed that the rocket launches were clearly intended to disrupt Iranian President Masoud Bazshkian’s visit to the country, which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday morning. The military spokesperson for Hezbollah Brigades, Jafar Al-Husseini, said, “The targeting of Baghdad Airport at this time is the work of suspicious hands, aiming to create confusion ahead of the Iranian president’s visit to Baghdad. We call on the security forces to reveal the culprits.”
