Mubarak Ardol, a leader within the Democratic Bloc of the Forces of Freedom and Change, revealed that a meeting took place between a delegation from the Democratic Bloc and the US envoy to Sudan, Tom Perriello, in Cairo on Thursday evening.
Ardol stated in a Facebook post that they discussed various issues, including opening routes to ensure humanitarian aid reaches all citizens across Sudan, especially those trapped in the Nuba Mountains and Darfur. He also mentioned that the delegation raised several questions about the war, the full ceasefire, and the role of external forces fueling the conflict in Sudan.
The parties agreed to continue consultations until the war ends and the comprehensive transitional process resumes in Sudan.
