On Saturday, the joint armed forces announced the killing of dozens of Rapid Support Forces militia members during sweeps in the city of Al-Fasher.
The official spokesperson for the joint forces, Ahmed Hussein Mustafa, said in a statement to “Darfur 24” that the army and joint forces carried out extensive sweeps of the Rapid Support Forces militia in the southeastern axis on Saturday morning.
Mustafa indicated that the militia suffered heavy losses in both personnel and military equipment, in addition to the seizure of several military vehicles.
