Russia Warns the West of “Running Out of Patience”

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, warned that Russia’s patience with Western actions in Ukraine is “running out.”
In a message posted on his Telegram channel, he said that while “no side is interested in a nuclear conflict,” Russia has so far exercised restraint in using its nuclear capabilities in response to Western intervention, especially regarding precision strikes deep inside Russian territory. However, he warned that “even the greatest level of patience has its limits.”
These comments came after U.S. President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer met to discuss allowing Ukraine to use long-range missiles to strike deep inside Russian territory. Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that giving the green light to use these weapons “would mean that NATO countries, the United States, and European nations are at war with Russia.”
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy condemned these remarks, accusing Putin of “boasting.”
