A military source said on Thursday that the army had seized control of Al-Shaigab village, about 9 km north of the Arab town and around 12 km west of Wad Madani, the capital of Al-Jazira State.
The military source, cited by “Sudan Tribune,” said that the RSF militia had carried out a military operation attempting to regain control of the area, but the army repelled the attack.
