New Wave of Militia Violations in Al-Jazira Villages

Late last week, the RSF militia committed another wave of horrific violations in villages of Al-Jazira State, including killings and looting of property.

Eyewitnesses told “Sudan Tribune” that the militia killed a citizen during looting operations after storming Hegaz village in the Abu Quta countryside. At the same time, the Al-Jazira Congress accused the RSF of killing four civilians during an attack on Um Jalud village in the Al-Hasahisa locality on Thursday.

Eyewitnesses and resistance committees in Abu Quta reported that on Wednesday, RSF forces raided “Kombo Musa,” demanding the residents hand over all motorcycles under the threat of weapons, forcing them to comply.

The witnesses also mentioned that the raiding force demanded money and looted all the cattle. In parallel, the Sudanese Doctors Network reported that a team in Al-Jazira State recorded 704 deaths and 3,492 injuries admitted to hospitals in the Al-Managil locality from seven different areas since RSF took control of parts of Al-Jazira State.

According to the report, 90% of the victims had direct gunshot wounds, with the largest number of casualties recorded in Al-Hasahisa and South Al-Jazira localities.
