Sovereignty Council Chairman and Sudanese Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, left for New York on Tuesday, leading Sudan’s delegation to the United Nations General Assembly.
At Port Sudan Airport, Al-Burhan was seen off by Sovereignty Council Deputy Chairman Malik Agar, Council member Abdullah Yahya, Energy and Oil Minister Mohyadin Naeem, Red Sea State Governor General Mustafa Mohammed Noor, and Sovereignty Council Secretary-General General Mohammed Al-Ghali Ali Youssef.
Al-Burhan is set to deliver Sudan’s address to the UN General Assembly on Thursday.
On the sidelines of the UNGA, he will meet with several world leaders and representatives from international and regional organizations to discuss bilateral cooperation and the role of multilateral cooperation under the UN framework to build a more stable future.
