Sudanese Sovereign Council Chairman General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s efforts in supporting Sudan, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Burhan met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty in New York on Wednesday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings. Abdel Aaty confirmed that Egypt continues its efforts to support the Sudanese in overcoming their crisis, preserving Sudan’s unity and sovereignty, and supporting its institutions.
The minister also praised the Sudanese government’s facilitation of humanitarian aid delivery through the Adré crossing on the Sudan-Chad border, expressing hope that Sudan would soon regain its security and stability.
