Acting Sudanese Foreign Minister Hussein Awad Ali met with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the strong and long-standing bilateral relations between Sudan and Saudi Arabia.
The Sudanese minister reiterated Sudan’s commitment to the Jeddah platform as the primary negotiation venue for the Sudanese crisis. He emphasized that multiple negotiation platforms could complicate the crisis. The two parties also discussed the importance of mutual support between the two countries in international forums and enhancing regional efforts to achieve consensus in the area.
