Expatriates Office and Passport Authority Discuss Arrangements for Passport Issuance Abroad

Sudan Events – Report
A joint meeting between the Sudanese Expatriates Office and the General Directorate of Passports and Civil Registry has discussed the likely arrangements for passport and civil registry missions to Algeria and Abu Dhabi in the coming days.
During a visit to the General Directorate of Passports and Civil Registry in Port Sudan, Dr. Hassan Babiker Ahmed, acting Secretary-General of the Expatriates Office, who was accompanied by Khaled Ahmed Mohamed Ali, an ambassador from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, revealed that other areas, especially in Southeast Asia and West Africa, are in greater need of such missions. He pointed out that temporary measures, such as extension through stickers, are being used in some regions, which has been delaying their civil transactions in the host countries.
In response, Police General Musa Sharh Ahmed Suleiman, head of the General Directorate of Passports and Civil Registry, affirmed the readiness of the directorate to send its missions abroad, pending financial arrangements with the Ministry of Finance. He urged the Expatriates Office to suggest regions that require services, praising their ongoing efforts to serve Sudanese expatriates.
This visit is part of the follow-up on the arrangements for these missions to assist Sudanese communities across different migration regions.
