A military source told “Sudan Tribune” that a detachment of army forces attempted to advance southward towards the Shambat district but faced resistance from the RSF, which was forced to withdraw from Halfaya.

On Saturday, the Sudanese army made significant progress, taking control of the entire Al-Kadro, Al-Daroshab, Al-Samrab, Al-Halfaya, and Al-Azirqab areas, forcing the RSF to retreat southward to Shambat.
The army plans to advance from the Al-Kadro Military Area in northern Khartoum Bahri to the Signal Corps in the far south of the city, then towards the General Command of the army in Khartoum on the western bank of the Blue Nile.
Local sources in Halfaya confirmed to “Sudan Tribune” that army forces have secured the entire area and are conducting house-to-house searches for hidden RSF soldiers.
According to the same sources, the army advised residents to stay indoors for their safety while injured civilians from recent clashes in Halfaya were being counted.
In Khartoum, the Al-Mugran area saw battles and artillery shelling on Sunday morning.
