Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The government welcomed, on Wednesday, U.S. President Joe Biden’s decision to lift some restrictions imposed on Sudan under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act. Acting Foreign Minister Hassan Awad remarked that the decision “marks a significant step forward in relations between the two countries and will contribute to reconstruction efforts, particularly in rehabilitating the health sector, which was targeted by rebel militias (Rapid Support Forces).”
