Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar, departed on Thursday for Johannesburg, South Africa, for an official visit that will last several days. During the visit, Agar will participate in the annual forum of the Thabo Mbeki Foundation, which will discuss issues related to African peace and security.
He was seen off at Port Sudan International Airport by the Secretary-General of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Ghali Ali Yusuf.
Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin, stated in a press briefing that Deputy Chairman Agar will deliver the opening speech at the forum and will present a paper titled “The Situation in Sudan and Its Importan Peace and Security in the Region.”
Agar is accompanied on his visit to South Africa by Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin.
