Democratic Front: UAE Seeks to Occupy Sudan, Advocates Isolating the FFC

Sudan Events – Reports
The Democratic Front at the University of Khartoum described the current conflict as a war of occupation or “classic colonialism,” accusing the UAE of acting as a proxy for the Zionist-American project that seeks to control Sudan’s resources and dismantle its army, replacing it with a family-run militia to ensure the UAE and its allies continue to exploit Sudan’s wealth.
In a statement, the Democratic Front asserted that the militia is executing this project by aiming to establish a family-based emirate, leveraging the UAE’s imperialist ambitions to occupy Sudan in a modern sense, resulting in the forced displacement of millions of Sudanese from their homes.
The statement further accused the civilian wing of the Janjaweed militia, Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC), of misleading the public and justifying terrorist acts, including killings, torture, looting, rape, and the displacement of citizens. The front called for the political and moral isolation of the FFC and its military allies, vowing to thwart their conspiracies against the Sudanese people.
The Democratic Front confirmed its solidarity with the soldiers and officers of the armed forces against the RSF project, supporting both a military and political resolution to dismantle the militia. The statement concluded by asserting that Sudan would not be turned into a farm or mine for the UAE, likening the Sudanese struggle to that of the Palestinian people, with the same enemy and a shared resistance until victory is achieved.
