Shendi: Vehicles Equipped to Transport Meat from Slaughterhouses to Markets
Sudan Events – Reports
In the coming days, Shendi locality will receive the first vehicles specifically designed and equipped to transport meat from slaughterhouses to markets in a safe and hygienic manner, ensuring the meat reaches consumers in optimal condition.
Shendi’s executive director, Khalid Abdel Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, said that the vehicle expected to arrive in the next few hours is a model for a proposed number of vehicles with similar specifications, aimed at ensuring proper transportation from slaughterhouses to various markets.
He added that several new markets, such as the corn market and the Qulay’ah market, as well as the expansion of older markets like the main market, the central fruit and vegetable market, and the Deem market, have seen an increase in meat selling points, all located at various distances from slaughterhouses. This, along with the existence of meat sales centers in different neighborhoods, necessitates the safe transportation of meat to consumers.
Shendi locality had previously agreed with the Giad company to supply these vehicles equipped to transport meat.
