“International Migration”: Number of Displaced People Fleeing Sudan’s Conflict Rises to 14 Million

The International Organization for Migration (IOM), a United Nations agency, revealed on Tuesday that the number of people displaced by the ongoing conflict in Sudan has risen to 14 million, including both internally displaced persons and refugees.
In a report, the organization stated that “the number of internally displaced people in Sudan has reached 10,916,305, while 3,119,855 people have crossed borders into neighboring countries.”
The IOM noted that internally displaced persons are residing in 9,269 sites across 183 localities in all 18 states of Sudan.
It confirmed that 52% of the internally displaced are children under the age of 18.
