Finance Minister Dr. Jibril Ibrahim revealed efforts with the World Bank to find financing mechanisms to help Sudan implement its vision for rebuilding what the war has destroyed.
Speaking at a meeting of Arab finance ministers with the President of the World Bank Group in Washington, the minister requested the bank assign a specialized team to assist Sudan in reconstruction, focusing on infrastructure and preparing a suitable environment for the return of displaced and refugee Sudanese to their war-affected communities. He emphasized the importance of the bank’s technical and capacity-building assistance to mobilize and maximize the country’s resources.
He also praised the support of the brotherly Arab nations that provided humanitarian aid to Sudanese citizens during the war crisis.
