Eyewitnesses from the Abu Shouk displacement camp near Al-Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, reported that the Rapid Support Forces militia shelled the camp on Tuesday, causing several casualties.
Amina Zakaria Al-Taher, a camp resident, told “Darfur24” that multiple shells hit homes and streets in the camp, resulting in deaths and injuries, including women and children.
The intense shelling began around midday on Tuesday and continued for over an hour from the north and east directions.
A medical source at Al-Fasher’s Saudi Specialized Hospital, who requested anonymity, reported that the exact number of casualties has yet to be determined due to transportation challenges, with some critical cases reaching other medical facilities for treatment.
