The Rapid Support Forces militia continued its retaliatory attacks in eastern Al-Jazira State, leading to more than 20 deaths during raids on villages in the past 48 hours. According to a statement issued by the Al-Jazira Conference, a force from the Rapid Support attacked the village of “Al-Faj Al-Bashir” in the Um Qura locality in eastern Al-Jazira on Thursday, resulting in the deaths of 11 people. The statement added that the attack left others seriously injured, increasing the likelihood that the death toll could rise.
The Al-Jazira Conference also reported in a separate statement that the Rapid Support militia imposed a tight siege on the citizens of the village of “Wad Al-Fadl” in eastern Al-Jazira on Wednesday morning, trapping all residents inside the village mosques. The statement indicated that Rapid Support elements have killed six people from “Wad Al-Fadl” so far, looted shops and homes, and set fire to the village’s hospital and some citizens’ houses.
In the village of “Al-Foula Al-Afsa” in the East Al-Jazira locality, the militia attacked citizens on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of two people and injuries to others. According to the Al-Jazira Conference, a similar attack on the village of “Al-Nasourab” in the same area resulted in the death of a young man from the village.
