Sudan Files Complaint Against Chad

Sudan Events – Follow-ups
On Friday, representatives from the Sudanese Committee for International Claims against the RSF and its leaders, authorized by the Sovereignty Council Chairman, lodged a complaint against the Republic of Chad at the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights in Banjul, Gambia. This was based on the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Justice, the complaint included documented evidence showing Chad’s involvement in supporting the RSF in its violations, including genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. These crimes involved killings, rapes, sexual violence, forced displacement, infrastructure destruction, child recruitment, public and private property looting, and occupying citizens’ homes. Chadian support has played a central role in enabling these violations and prolonging the war.
