Government Reshuffle: Al-Aisir Appointed as Minister of Information

On Sunday, Sovereign Council Chairman, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, carried out a limited cabinet reshuffle, ending the appointments of four ministers and assigning new ones. According to a statement from the Sovereign Council, al-Burhan approved the Transitional Council of Ministers’ decision to relieve Ambassador Hussein Awad from his duties as Minister of Foreign Affairs, assigning Ambassador Ali Yusuf Ahmed Al-Sharif in his place. The reshuffle also included the dismissal of Graham Abdel Qader from the post of Minister of Culture and Information, appointing Khalid Al-Aisir instead.
Additionally, Osama Hassan Mohammed Ahmed was removed from his duties as Minister of Religious Affairs, with Omar Bakheet Mohammed Adam assigned to the position. Al-Burhan also appointed Omar Ahmed Mohammed Ali Banfir as Minister of Trade and Supply.
