The Khartoum State Security Coordination Committee, chaired by the appointed governor, Ahmed Othman Hamza, approved the Ministry of Education’s recommendation to resume the second phase of the 2023-2024 academic year according to specific conditions.
The committee confirmed, according to a press release from the state government on Thursday, its commitment to the future of students despite the challenges imposed by the war, which necessitated coordinating efforts among various agencies to ensure the stability of education.
The committee also discussed the security situation in the state, praising the improvement in the criminal situation thanks to the efforts of the joint forces in combating crime and securing the markets.
The committee emphasized the necessity of intensifying security measures, especially in light of the ongoing efforts to eradicate organized crime and sleeper cells.
